The Buffalo Bills currently sit at 5-5 and are still in the hunt for a playoff spot, however, this is a team with a few different draft needs. Due to trade with the Cleveland Browns, the Bills currently do not have a first-round pick; making it even more important that the team hits on the selections they do have. Without further ado, here is a way too early seven-round mock draft for the Buffalo Bills.

E.J. Manuel isn't the answer in Buffalo anymore, and Kyle Orton isn't much better. There's a ton of talent on offense with Sammy Watkins and a solid offensive line, but poor quarterback play has held the team back this season. Brett Hundley has had a few struggles this season, but his arm talent and athleticism give him huge upside.

Round 3: Tre' Jackson, OG, Florida State

Erik Pears is aging and has never been anything more than a below-average starter. Tre’ Jackson, like everyone else on Florida State’s offensive line, has struggled this season, but he still has solid NFL potential. He has a very intriguing blend of power and quickness, and while he will need to improve as a pass-blocker, Jackson will be an immediate upgrade over Pears.

Round 5: Cedric Reed, DE, Texas

It remains to be seen if Jerry Hughes will re-sign with the Bills following the season, and with Hughes’ future uncertain and Mario Williams starting to age, defensive end becomes a need for the Bills. Reed has flashed huge potential as a pass-rusher in recent weeks, and at the very least he would be a great rotation piece.

Round 5: A.J. Johnson, LB, Tennessee

While Preston Brown has been impressive this season and Kiko Alonso will return next season, linebacker remains a need for the Bills. Brandon Spikes is great against the run, but he struggles in coverage and can be inconsistent. A.J. Johnson is an instinctive leader on the football field, and he would give the Bills a solid complement to Spikes.

Round 6: Terrence Magee, RB, LSU

C.J. Spiller might not be back next season, and with Fred Jackson aging, the Bills need to bring in a running back. Terrence Magee isn't a workhorse by any means, but he is an all-purpose threat capable of taking it the distance on any given play. Spiller is probably on his way out, but Magee would be an interesting replacement.

Round 7: Nick Perry, S, Alabama

Da’Norris Searcy and Aaron Williams give the Bills a pair of promising safeties, but behind them there is little depth. Nick Perry hasn’t been outstanding for the Crimson Tide this season, but he is experienced and has some physical upside. He won’t ever be a starter, but Perry is a good bet to stick around as a back-up.
