Line: Dallas (-3.5)
Things have gotten really bad for the New York Giants really fast. Forget about making the playoffs, the team could simply use another win. Unfortunately, they will be going up against the Dallas Cowboys next.
These teams met earlier in the season. It was a game that resulted in a win for the Cowboys. Maybe this time around, the Giants will have better luck at home. At the same time, New York has now lost five in a row. In no way have those five losses come against easy competition, but if you can’t beat good teams, you simply don’t belong in the playoffs.
After dropping two straight, one in overtime and the other to the Arizona Cardinals (best record in football), Dallas got back on track vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jags are not even close to being a top team in the NFL, but road wins are road wins. In that game, Tony Romo threw three TD passes and DeMarco Murray ran for 100 yards — just what the doctor ordered.
If those two have similar outings against the Giants in Week 12, Dallas should have no problem sweeping them on the season. I’m sure it won’t happen again in this contest, but it is important to note that Eli Manning tossed five interceptions last game.
PREDICTION: Cowboys 23, Giants 17
