Week 12 Matchup: Washington Redskins (3-7) vs. San Francisco 49ers (6-4)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Nov. 23, 4:25 p.m. ET, CBS
Stadium: Levi’s Stadium
Line: San Francisco (-9)
After a two-game winning streak that included a surprise win over the Dallas Cowboys, the Washington Redskins have now lost two games in a row. You could say the San Francisco 49ers enter this game with more momentum, as they have won two games in a row.
Considering the Redskins beat Dallas on the road, they could certainly knock the 49ers off in the same fashion. However, I wouldn’t count on that one to happen. After all, Washington could only manage seven points against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 11. For the record, Tampa Bay has only won two games in 2014, and they aren’t necessarily known for having the best offense in the NFL, or defense.
San Fran’s last two wins, and games for that matter, have come on the road. One of those road wins was against the New Orleans Saints, a team that rarely loses at home. The 49ers still have a long ways to go, and have to play teams like the Seattle Seahawks twice before the regular season is up, but at least they are headed in the right direction.
Since everyone is trailing the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC West, don’t expect San Francisco to slip against an easier opponent like the Redskins, especially at home. Just remember that Washington only has three wins on the year, with only one of them coming on the road.
PREDICTION: Redskins 20, 49ers 24
