Adrian Peterson’s current media frenzy poses much of an argument. Some people believe Peterson did nothing wrong because at the end of the day, this is a parenting issue and not a league issue. Others believe that Peterson’s admittance to abuse means that he has no place in the NFL and should be released from the Minnesota Vikings. These are the top five reasons why the Vikings should release Adrian Peterson.

Peterson has only ever played with the Vikings and although he has accomplished great things with the organization and has aided it greatly, it may be time to cut ties and move on to a new place. Peterson’s career has already outlasted the average 3.3 years of an NFL player and if they release him, it doesn’t mean he can’t start a new chapter with a new team.
