The Atlanta Falcons are 4-6 on the 2014 NFL season and are leading their division, yet no one is taking them seriously. Meanwhile, the Cleveland Browns are 6-4 and no one is taking them seriously either. However, this could be a new Browns team we see this weekend with some new looks on offense. Which five players should you keep an eye on in their week 12 matchup?

Ishmael has played well at times at safety for the Falcons this season, but he’s also been burnt by big-time wide receivers streaking deep from time-to-time as well. With Josh Gordon back on the field, seeing how Ishmael helps defend the deep ball will be huge for this game.

Now that Ben Tate is out of the picture for the Browns, it’s down to Crowell and Terrance West. Given how the carries were divided last week, Crowell seems like he might be the number one guy in their running game. How he performs against a poor Atlanta run defense will be a factor in how Cleveland in turn performs.

3. Joe Haden

Though they’ve been inconsistent, the Falcons have big-time weapons at wide receiver. You worry about the Browns’ secondary as a whole, but if Haden can come up big and shut down Julio Jones, that could go along way in helping Cleveland work towards a victory.

2. Matt Ryan

Ryan has been inconsistent on the season as a whole, but has performed steadily decent as of late. For the Falcons to have success come Sunday, Ryan is going to have to find a way to dice up the Browns secondary using his big weapons.

There’s no doubt that the biggest storyline in this contest is Josh Gordon getting back on the field after serving his 10-game suspension. We’ve seen how monstrous he can be when he’s playing, so seeing how he performs come Sunday will be arguably the biggest factor in this game and in the rest of the Browns’ season.
