After putting up more than 50 points in back-to-back games for the first time in franchise history, Green Bay proves they can win the close one. The timing couldn’t have been better as the Packers will face the Patriots in Week 13, which will be billed as the game of the year and possible Super Bowl preview.

Packers’ fans were cursing Micah Hyde’s name after he was foolishly called for a defensive holding penalty on fourth down that eventually led to a touchdown early in the contest. He also was dragged by running back Joe Banyard for a first down later in the game. Hyde got back in the good graces after he made a spectacular interception that turned the momentum.

Green Bay’s lack of a tight end who scares defenses puts more pressure on Aaron Rodgers and the wide receivers. Even though Andrew Quarless is not a huge threat, he is definitely becoming a factor. He continues to make tough catches while taking big hits and gets right back up afterward. In today’s game, he hauled in two grabs for 50 yards.

There is no one in the NFL playing better than Rodgers is this season. Despite not putting up jaw dropping numbers (209 passing yards, two touchdowns), he still manages to be a huge problem for defenses. His touchdown throw Richard Rodgers in the second quarter was a thing of beauty. The fact that defenses always have to stay honest because of Rodgers’ skill set means Green Bay will continue to win many games.

Even though it has taken some time for the running game to get going, the Packers couldn’t have asked for a more opportune time of the season for it to become devastating. Lacy went over 100 yards in game for the second time this season when he dropped 125 on the Vikings. His ability to give the Packers an edge on the ground and in the screen game makes Green Bay’s offense very dangerous.
