The Jacksonville Jaguars did not fare much better against the Indianapolis Colts the second time around, losing 23-3 on the road. The defense kept the Jags in the game throughout the first half, but the offense was never able to get it going against a tough Colts defense. With that being said, here are five takeaways from the Jaguars' Week 12 loss to the Colts.

After missing the previous eight weeks with an ankle injury, Lewis made his much-anticipated return to the lineup against the Colts. He was targeted just three times and finished with one catch for minus-five yards.

One of the Jaguars' premier free agent additions this offseason, Clemons has been mostly underwhelming to this point. However, the veteran came up big Sunday, finishing with three sacks, including a strip-sack of Colts quarterback Andrew Luck on the first possession of the game. Clemons now has seven sacks on the season.

3. Offense Had Terrible Gameplan

With Blake Bortles still struggling with turnovers, it is understandable the Jaguars wanted to play it conservatively on offense. However, the Jaguars' game plan was ultimately too conservative, racking up just 194 yards of total offense on 54 plays, most of which came with the game well out of reach.

The rookie linebacker has shown flashes of brilliance, and Sunday he put together his most impressive performance of the season. Making the start at weak-side linebacker, Smith was flying around on defense and came away with a team-leading 13 tackles and two fumble recoveries.

While the offense struggled, the Jaguars' defense came to play. The defense forced a franchise-record six fumbles, recovering three and sacked Colts quarterback Andrew Luck five times.
