The Denver Broncos haven’t exactly been on their A-game as of late. They escaped with a win in Week 12 over a much-improved Miami Dolphins team, but things won’t get any easier in Week 13 as a tough AFC West road showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs looms.

One of the biggest question marks for Denver this week — will tight end Julius Thomas suit up?

According to the Denver Post, there’s a chance. Thomas is apparently feeling better after spraining his ankle in Week 11, and could be in action this Sunday.

Here’s what the TE had to say on his current condition:

“I have had better days, and I have had worse days. You hope you just wake up one day and it feels good again, but that didn’t happen last week. But it has improved.”

While it isn’t imperative that the Broncos get Thomas back in Week 13, he certainly won’t hurt their chances of notching a big road win. Even if used in decoy fashion, Thomas would be an asset on the Denver offense. At the same time, if he’s not capable of being an effective decoy, it’s probably best that he sits out another week.

Either way, Thomas appears to be on track to return at some point in the very near future.
