The Buffalo Bills play the Cleveland Browns this week in a must-win game for each team. The loser will have a very difficult time making the playoffs in the crowded AFC. The Browns squeaked out a win last week against the Atlanta Falcons, but this week Cleveland can’t expect the Bills to do everything in their power to lose the game as the Falcons did.

Josh Gordon will be the key for the Browns winning on Sunday. He didn’t show any rust in his first game back from suspension, catching eight passes for 120 yards a week ago. His ability to come up with game-changing plays will be crucial going against the Bills’ defense.

That’s because it’s really hard to score on Buffalo. The Bills are fourth in scoring defense and are only allowing 213 passing yards a game this season. It will be an uphill battle for Brian Hoyer, who the Browns seem content with rolling out there despite his below average play.

The good news is that Gordon has the ability to make any quarterback look decent. The bad news is that the Bills also realize that and will focus their defense on stopping him. They might be able to slow him down a little, but by doing that they will open up running lanes for Isaiah Crowell and Terrance West. Those two combined for 150 yards on 26 carries in Gordon’s debut.

Gordon has added a new dimension to the Browns’ offense. None of the other skill position players make the opposing team very nervous, so the attention that he demands will create space for the running backs and the other wide receivers. If he can also add in a few big plays, then the Browns will have a great chance at beating the Bills.
