In today’s NFL, pass-rushers are at a premium, and teams are starting to put more emphasis on speed rather than power. Vic Beasley, an edge-rusher out of Clemson, fits the league’s new mold of pass-rusher, and he should be a hot commodity when the NFL Draft comes around. With several teams likely targeting pass-rushers early in the draft, Beasley’s draft stock should continue to rise as the event gets closer.

What really stands out about Beasley’s game is his speed. He simply blows by opposing offensive linemen with rare speed and quickness. With undersized speed-rushers like Von Miller and Bruce Irvin making big impacts in recent years, Beasley is another guy that is going to make an impact right away because of his speed and explosiveness off the snap.

Beasley has also improved in a few key areas this season. He has begun to use his hands much better instead of just relying upon his speed. He’s added even more moves to his pass-rushing arsenal, and it seems he is always coming up with new ways to get past opposing linemen. Beasley doesn’t have great power, but he makes up for it with improved technique.

Overall, Vic Beasley is someone worth keeping an eye on as the 2015 NFL Draft gets closer. Any pass-rusher with Beasley’s combination of speed, quickness and polish is going to be very highly rated by scouts, and he’s no exception. Simply put, Beasley is going to make some lucky team very happy with his pass-rushing talent.
