The Redskins benched Robert Griffin III and seemingly ended the brief era where he was supposed to be their savior as they entered week 13. It didn’t change too much as Washington was dismantled by the Colts. In the loss, these are the five things you can takeaway for the Redskins.

Granted they were up against the Colts, but the Redskins’ offense is just terrible. They couldn’t stop the run or the pass on Sunday and that was ultimately the reason they were never in this game.

Because of the poor quarterback play and a shaky offense as a whole, Reed has been quiet for much of the year. With a quarterback who fits the system better under-center, though, Reed had a big day. This isn’t an anomaly; Jordan Reed can get it done when things aren’t dysfunctional.

Jackson, for all of his faults, is still an elite big-play wide receiver. He may not be as dynamic as he once was, but he can still open up an offense with his skill set and the Redskins would be wise to keep using him in that manner.

McCoy fumbled the ball four times in this game and was lucky to have only lost one of them. If you’re going to play quarterback for an NFL team, maybe try and hold on to the pigskin.

RG3 is the more talented player between he and McCoy, but McCoy seems to be the more natural fit in Jay Gruden’s offense. McCoy isn’t going to become Aaron Rodgers in any regard, but he can get this offense to produce in ways that RG3 and Kirk Cousins weren’t really able to.
