Let’s skip the discussion on why and how the San Francisco 49ers would trade head coach Jim Harbaugh, and focus instead on which teams might be the best fit. The criteria starts and ends with intensity — which teams lack it, and need a boost of spastic overly dramatic (yet intense) Harbaugh pacing the sidelines.

How fun would it be to watch the fireworks between Harbaugh and Jerry Jones on a weekly basis? Jason Garrett is a puppet, easily manipulated by Jones. Harbaugh would be the uncontrollable temper tantrum-throwing element the Cowboys reality show is missing. Plus, the Cowboys could use an infusion of Harbaugh’s intensity.

If you want to end your quarterback controversy, Harbaugh is your man. If the Redskins hire Harbaugh and deal RGIII, they’d be one step closer to resurrecting the career of Colt McCoy and the image of the Redskins.

Insane fans. Insane coach. What a great fit for Harbaugh — Raiders nation would love his outbursts and rants on the sidelines. This landing spot has the added benefit of being so close to his current location in San Francisco that he probably wouldn’t even have to move.

2. Cleveland Browns

Cleveland has a quarterback controversy that Harbaugh can eliminate. The Browns should trade Hoyer and bring in Harbaugh to manage Johnny Manziel. A larger-than-life personality like Johnny Football needs a larger-than-life coach. That matchup has all the makings of Ditka v. McMahon from the 1980s -- lots of fireworks, but lots of wins. Plus, the Cleveland defense has the intensity of Harbaugh already.

Perhaps no team needs an infusion of intensity more than the Chicago Bears. A reunion with his former team would replace the emotionally void and completely inept Marc Trestman. In fact, Harbaugh-for-Trestman may be the ideal swap for both teams. The Bears’ defense needs a fire-breathing head coach to bring back the Monsters of the Midway, and Jay Cutler needs a coach who has the guts to bench him when he turns in a “bad Jay” performance.
