The Washington Redskins' continued to bask in its futility, suffering a 24-0 loss to the St. Louis Rams on Sunday. Washington's offense was anemic under Colt McCoy, who was under pressure all game long. With the loss, the Redskins dropped to 3-10 under first year coach Jay Gruden. Here are five instant reactions to yet another loss.

I understand that McCoy had a poor performance on Sunday, by throwing for two interceptions. But for those that were calling for RG3 to come into the game, you should be careful what you wish for. I doubt that Griffin would have fared much better against a dominant St. Louis defense and leaky line protection. Washington's problems are much deeper than just one player.

It is of paramount importance that the Redskins get help in the secondary in the offseason. Washington's pass defense has been one of the worst in the NFL in recent years and didn't look much better on Sunday. The Redskins would be wise to select a stud safety in the upcoming draft and put someone back there who appears to know what he is doing.

In the dark abyss that is the Redskins defense, Ryan Kerrigan is the lone bright spot. The defensive end had a solid game with two sacks, giving him 10-plus on the season. Kerrigan might not be the most talented player on the roster, but he is the most consistent and diligent. Washington could use at least 10 more players like him on this team.

It doesn't take a football expert to tell you that the Redskins stink. The 3-10 record and recent lethargic performances say it all. What's unacceptable is the lack of leadership on the team, which typically trickles down from the head coach. This team lacks heart and appears to give up when things get tough. Jay Gruden has endured a miserable start to his coaching career in DC.

The price of admission to Sunday's game was rumored to be as low as for Redskins fans. After seeing the way Washington played, I'd argue that was too much. At this point, you'd have to pay me to go see a Redskins game, and offer free beer so I can drown in the sorrows of another losing season.
