Two of the season’s bigger disappointments meet this Sunday as the Washington Redskins head to the Big Apple to take on the New York Giants. Each team has had quite a miserable year, and is just playing out the string in these final weeks. With both New York and Washington essentially just playing for pride, here are a few predictions to keep an eye out for this Sunday.

Washington’s defense has given up an average of almost 30 points per game in their five-game losing streak, so it’s tough to expect they can stop Beckham from continuing his astounding rookie year. The stud wideout has posted over 100 yards in four of his last six games, and I’d expect him to top this number again come Sunday.

Manning hasn’t exactly had a good season this year, but I think he makes it through Sunday without stringing together some ill-timed picks. He may not light up Washington, but he also won’t be the walking disaster he’s been more than a few times this year. At the end of the day, expect Manning to keep the Giants in the game, and after his rough season, that’s more than enough.

It’s tough to do any worse than Morris’ game last week, where he posted a paltry six yards on eight carries. Luckily, New York’s rush defense is ranked 30th in yards per game, so he should get back on track Sunday. With question marks at quarterback, Washington will need Morris to help them move the ball, and I think he’ll have no problem this time around.

Speaking of which, whether Colt McCoy is healthy enough to play or the team is forced to start Robert Griffin III again, I doubt it makes a difference. McCoy has taken a beating, and Griffin’s confidence has been ground to a pulp. Regardless of who plays, Washington’s quarterback situation will continue to be a hot mess.

This has less to do with the Giants playing well and more with the fact Washington is lost at sea. The team is in disarray and mentally fragile, and I expect New York to take advantage. It may not be the prettiest game played this Sunday, but look for the Giants to win two consecutive games for the first time since October 5.
