What should one expect when it comes to watching two terrible teams go at it for the benefit of a better draft pick? Well, some pretty terrible football, that’s for sure. In what many are calling the “Suck For The Duck” game thanks to the benefit of being able to inch closer to a better draft pick in the upcoming 2015 NFL Draft, the New York Jets are set to battle the Tennessee Titans. What should fans expect from this matchup?

For starters, both teams are at 2-11 for the season with glaring issues on each side. The Titans have lost seven-straight games and have lost quarterback Zach Mettenberger for what appears to be the rest of the season due to a severe shoulder injury. The Jets have lost three-straight games and can’t seem to get anything done right when it comes to winning football games.

The Jets plan to stick with quarterback Geno Smith as this should be a ground and pound kind of game for both teams. The best angle to look forward to is the return of running back Chris Johnson to his old stomping grounds in Tennessee. He hasn’t been anywhere near the potential many predicted him to be ever since he got released by the Titans, but needless to say, should be playing with a chip on his shoulder.

Perhaps Johnson will have one of the best games of the season against his old team, but make no mistake about it, this will probably garner the worst TV and radio ratings so far this NFL season. Not even an angle of his return back to Tennessee will salvage this game from disappointment.

If one had to predict the final score of this matchup, look for the Titans to squeeze a victory on a game-winning field goal in a game ironically dominated by field goals. Neither team seems to be able to finish drives with touchdowns or do anything right for that matter except make dumb mistakes and turn the football over.

Overall, the Titans are due for a win and should be able to leave this game victorious by capitalizing on errors made by the Jets, especially with Smith running things on offense.

Final score: Tennessee Titans 12, New York Jets 9.
