The 5 NFL Games You Want Tickets to for Rantmas

Many say that December is when “real” football is played. It’s certainly true that things get a lot more intense with playoff hopes on the line. While, sadly, for many teams their playoff dreams have already been dashed, for many (more than ever this year actually), they’re still very much in the hunt.

As of right now, there are tons of playoff scenarios that could play out depending on wins, losses, and ties, but one thing is for sure: these five NFL games during Christmas Week are the ones you absolutely do not want to miss. The playoffs are within reach for at least one team in all of these match-ups and while for some teams, holiday wishes will come true, for others, their football seasons will sadly come to an end in 2014. Football: the one job where everyone wants to keep working.

Check out our picks for the games you want to get NFL tickets to for Christmas week.

Start Rantmas Early and Go to Detriot Lions at Chicago Bears

The Detroit Lions are currently 10-4 and tied the Packers for the lead in the NFC North. However, they won their first matchup against Green Bay and see them again during Week 17, which means if they win their next three games, they win the NFC North. Basically: they really, really want to beat the Bears when they face off against them in Chicago. The Bears are in last place in the NFC North, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to roll over and let Detroit have their way with them. Rather, expect Chicago to put up a good fight in an attempt to spoil Detroit’s fight for the top spot in the NFC North. Save on tickets now!

San Diego Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs

By the time this game is played, there’s a good chance one of these teams will have been knocked out of playoff contention altogether. However, if the 8-6 San Diego Chargers can win their next two games, they should be playing in January, which means the game against the Chiefs could easily be do-or-die, especially after their Week 15 loss to Denver. Interestingly, there’s also still a shot for the Chiefs to earn a Wild Card spot. They’d need to win out (and even then they might not make it), but either way, this game will matter to one team or both. Save on tickets now!

Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers

All the 9-5 Steelers have to do to take the AFC North is win out the rest of their season. However, the Cinncinati Bengals are not going to give up without a fight. If they win their next game, then suddenly the head-to-head matchup against the Steelers becomes one that could possible determine the winner of the division. The Ravens are also still in the hunt, but their two losses to the Bengals will likely hurt their chances. Save on tickets now!

Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons AND New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The NFC South has been a total joke all year, but regardless, one team WILL make the playoffs. As of right now, the 5-8-1 Panthers are in first place, but the 5-8 Saints and 5-9 Falcons are right on their heels. Occasionally the NFL works in bizarre ways and the fact that a 6-10 team could somehow have the #4 seed in the playoffs is a great example of just that. Still, one of these teams is going to win their division and will end up hosting a home game in January.

Nothing beats going to the game. Get your NFL tickets on ScoreBig.com where you save on every ticket every day.
