Jay Cutler's time with the Chicago Bears could be winding down. Despite some decent years and a fat new contract, the QB's play has fallen off significantly in 2014. Cutler has fallen so far, that Jimmy Clausen has taken his job.

Given the money that's owed to him, Cutler will most likely be back in Chicago next season. But if there's a team willing to swap for him, you can bet the Bears would listen. Here are 5 teams that could make an offer:

QB mess, meet QB mess. That's what Cutler heading to Washington would be like. But what if the Bears and Skins were able to work out some sort of swap? Chicago gets its choice of RG3 or Kirk Cousins for Cutler. It really can't get much worse for either team, and crazier things have happened. Cutler would have to be better at running Jay Gruden's offense than any of the Washington QBs have been this season.

Who stands a better chance of being successful in New York over the next two seasons -- Jay Cutler or Marcus Mariota? Despite his struggles this season, the answer is Cutler. Mariota may be the top QB prospect in this year's draft, but it's also an incredibly weak draft class for QBs. The Jets would be better off trading for Cutler and using their first-round pick on a WR or CB.

3. Houston Texans

The Texans currently have way more questions than answers at QB. Ryan Fitzpatrick and Ryan Mallet both suffered season-ending injuries, but neither really impressed under center in Houston. Bill O'Brien could be just the guy to turn Cutler's career around, or at minimum would stand a better chance than most head coaches around the league. You have to wonder where the Texans would be right now with consistent, above average QB play this season.

Shaun Hill, Sam Bradford (post two ACL surgeries) or Jay Cutler? Who's the best option for St. Louis? It's hard not to say Cutler, even though his play has been more than forgettable as of late. The Rams are a decent QB away from being able to make some real noise in the NFC. Is a roll of the dice on Cutler worth it? Maybe.

1. Tennessee Titans

The Jake Locker experiment in Tennessee is all but over. Zach Mettenberger didn't exactly impress when he got his chance this season either. What would the lowly Titans have to lose by bringing Cutler on board? They're certainly not going to find the answer to their QB problems early in the 2015 draft. But again, it's a matter of willingness to take on two more guaranteed years of contract at around 18 million per.

Given that the Bears just paid Cutler the big bucks, they'll likely hold on to him for another season. To be fair to Cutler, the Bears have an awful defense and have also been out of the playoff picture for a couple of weeks now. With a new head coach/OC in place, it's probably worth giving Cutty one last run in the Windy City in 2015. But, do not rule out a trade if the right offer is on the table.
