When the Minnesota Vikings take on the Miami Dolphins during Week 16 of the NFL season, it is hard to imagine that there will be much interest in this contest, with the exception of fantasy owners watching their players go at it. With both teams all but eliminated from playoff contention, these squads are looking to build towards the future.

Minnesota had their two-game winning streak snapped by the Detroit Lions during Week 15, but they did some nice things against a team that should make the postseason. Teddy Bridgewater has clearly improved since the start of the season, as he has thrown two touchdown passes in three of his past four games after not throwing more than one score during his first seven.

Like Bridgewater, the Vikings have issues they need to continue to fix, but they definitely have shown improvement throughout the season. Minnesota would not be a team that I would want to face in a must-win situation.

The Dolphins, on the other hand, have taken a drastic fall over the past two weeks. After a Week 13 victory against the New York Jets, Miami was sitting pretty at 7-5 with playoff hopes on the horizon. However, after two defeats to potential playoff teams, the Dolphins will likely be watching the postseason from home.

Head coach Joe Philbin could be down to his final two games with the team, and while quarterback Ryan Tannehill has improved this season, he has not taken to big step that Miami needed him to take. The Dolphins have solid playmakers all over the field, but they simply seem to be unable to put it all together.

Final Prediction: With this game being played in Miami, I am going to go with the home team. The Dolphins will snap their two-game losing streak in an ugly one, 20-16.
