Surely, one of the following 2-12 football teams should leave with a much needed win, right? The stage is set on Thursday Night Football for a battle of two of the worst teams in the NFL between the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars. Both teams have endured disappointing seasons, but this particular rivalry has always provided a good amount of competition in the past and been relatively close until the very end.

Since both teams are coming off losses, it’s expected they will play more aggressively to give it their all in front of the national audience. The Titans have a slight advantage over the Jaguars since their offense is better and their defense boasts a much better pass rush. With tight end Delanie Walker being a centerpiece on offense, expect to see him utilized heavily in this matchup.

The Jaguars’ offensive line is one of the weakest aspects of their team, with quarterback Blake Bortles being sacked 46 times in the past 12 games. Due to getting hit so much, he’s currently dealing with a sprained foot issue that has him listed as questionable in this matchup.

Should Bortles not be able to play, the Jaguars will turn to Chad Henne to lead the charge. Expect to see the Titans take full advantage of their pass rush and get to the quarterback consistently in this matchup. Regardless of who starts for the Jaguars, the truth of the matter is they won’t score enough to leave victorious.

Overall, the Titans should be able to bring the pressure on defense and be one step ahead thanks to Walker and wide receiver Nate Washington. They should be able to finally bounce back and get a much-needed win on the road. Their defense is much better and should be the difference maker in this matchup.

Final Score: Titans 21, Jaguars 17
