As the 2014 season winds down for the Cleveland Browns, it’s time to start thinking about the offseason. The Browns will have approximately $ 48 million in cap room at their disposal as they try to beef up their roster for next year. Here are five free agents the Browns should consider signing in 2015.

Of the four leading receivers on the Browns’ stat sheet, only one stands above 5-foot-10 in Miles Austin. It’s time to move on from the 30-year-old former Cowboy and add a big man receiver to play across from Josh Gordon. At 6-foot-4, Holmes could very well be that guy; he has quietly put together a pretty nice year, and the Browns could get him at a bargain.

4. Ndamukong Suh

One area the Browns’ defense has struggled mightily in this season has been run defense, where they rank second to last in yards allowed. It is widely believed that Suh will not return to Detroit in 2015, so the opportunity is definitely there for the Browns to bolster their front seven. He would come at a price, but think of how many ways Mike Pettine could use him.

3. Jermaine Gresham

It’s time for the Browns to hit the reset button on the tight end position, as tight ends have accounted for only 20 percent of the Browns' passing yardage. Not only would the addition of Gresham provide veteran star power, but also it would be a nifty steal to pluck him out of the hands of divisional rival Cincinnati.

2. Buster Skrine

In his fourth NFL season, Skrine has been a pleasant surprise. He has proven to be a better partner for Joe Haden than rookie Justin Gilbert; the Browns need to keep him under contract. Skrine will be a hot commodity in the free agent cornerback market, so the Browns had better act fast and re-sign him.

1. Tashaun Gipson

Even though he has not played since before Thanksgiving, Gipson is tied for the league lead with six interceptions. The Browns would be foolish to let Gipson walk this offseason since he was such a major reason why the team pulled itself out of mediocrity. Gipson will rank as one of the top free agents at his position, so the Browns will probably have to pull out the wallet.
