Eli Manning and the New York Giants pulled off a spectacular win against a very tough St. Louis Rams squad. All doubts about the offense were answered with a win over a legit defense. Many analysts had even had Odell Beckham Jr. faltering to the Rams, but that was not the case at all. Manning and Beckham both stole the show.

Beckham put up 148 yards and two touchdowns, sealing the deal for the rookie of the year award. He also has over 1,000 yards this season despite debuting in Week 5. The Giants are finding new ways to use him every week, and he catches virtually everything thrown to him which makes Manning a better player as well.

Manning was under the center of a lot of criticism this year. However, he has had a very quiet and overlooked comeback from last season. Against the Rams, Manning threw for 391 and three touchdowns. He now has 3,981 yards, 29 touchdowns and 13 interceptions on the season. With this clear improvement, Manning will surely get a contract extension from the Giants. He has a lot more to learn in this offense, and he is still playing some of his best football.

The Giants’ defense and special teams units seem to be getting the hang of things. The special teams finally caused turnovers and began making an impact. The Giants have been plagued with very poor special teams for two years now, so it is good to see some improvement in that area. The defense got its act together ever since they were embarrassed in Jacksonville. They managed to pressure Shaun Hill all day long.

The Giants are looking to finish the year strong for Tom Coughlin and to prove that they are not as bad as critics make them out to be. Next week they play the Philadelphia Eagles in a game for nothing but bragging rights. The Giants are itching to get revenge for the last time Philly embarrassed them.
