Despite a disappointing ending, the Buffalo Bills had their best season in a decade in 2014, staying alive for a playoff berth until Week 16. Buffalo is definitely making progress under Doug Marrone, but they’ll need another strong draft class in 2015 to get to the next level. Here are the top five needs the Bills will need to address in the 2015 NFL Draft.

The Bills may or may not need to draft a quarterback next year; it all depends on whether they want to give E.J. Manuel another chance. Manuel got the hook after Week 4 this season, and he has less than a full season of experience under his belt, so he may just need more time. He was always going to be a quarterback that needed time to develop, so it could still be premature to move on from him with another quarterback.

The Buffalo secondary has had a good season, but they're still missing a big-time playmaker at safety that they had in Jairus Byrd a couple years ago. It won't hurt the Bills to add some depth to their secondary during the draft, and perhaps find a gem in the middle rounds who can make an impact and make their defense even stronger.

3. Linebacker

The Bills added Preston Brown in last year's draft, and they can expect Kiko Alonso to return in 2015 after a spectacular rookie season in 2013, but Buffalo may want to consider adding another linebacker in the draft and making that unit as strong as possible. The Bills have one more year before key parts of the defensive line are eligible for free agency, and with another good linebacker, the front seven could really be something special.

2. Running Back

The Bills need better play at quarterback, but they also need a more consistent running game. Fred Jackson is the oldest back in the league, while C.J. Spiller has not been as productive as expected over the past couple of years, so Buffalo could stand to add a young running back to try to provide a spark for the running game. Even if they don't use an early-round pick, they should be able to find a capable back somewhere in the draft.

1. Tight End

The Bills have some young and talented wide receivers, most notably Sammy Watkins, but their offense could use an athletic pass-catching tight end. Scott Chandler would make a nice complementary tight end, but if Buffalo can draft one of the top tight ends in next year's draft, they would have depth at that position and another playmaker in the passing game.
