The Jacksonville Jaguars are one of the worst teams in the NFL this season, but there is some good young talent on the roster. Jacksonville has drafted well in recent years, and they look set for years to come, particularly at skill positions. That said, free agency will allow the Jaguars to improve their team even more while adding some much-needed veteran leadership. With that said, here are five free agents the Jaguars should target in 2015.

Linebacker is a big position of need for the Jaguars heading into the offseason, and with Rey Maualuga available, the Jags should explore the option of bringing him on. While he certainly hasn’t lived up to expectations for the Bengals, Maualuga could carve out a nice role in Jacksonville as a guy who can play either inside or outside.

Cornerback is one of the weaker positions on the Jaguars’ roster, but they could solidify that spot by bringing in Walter Thurmond. Thurmond has missed most of 2014 with an injury, but once he’s healthy, he could give Jacksonville a very solid player in coverage.

3. Jermaine Gresham

Marcedes Lewis and Clay Harbor are both underwhelming options at tight end, and with a young quarterback in Blake Bortles, it makes sense for Jacksonville to bring in a receiving threat at the position. Jermaine Gresham never made a huge impact with the Bengals, but a change of scenery could do him wonders.

2. Bryan Bulaga

Right tackle has been a mess all season long for the Jaguars, and the team needs an upgrade at the position. Bryan Bulaga has struggled with injuries, but he’s a very effective starter when healthy and would really upgrade the Jaguars' line.

Although the Jaguars rank among the NFL’s most productive teams when it comes to sacks, statistics can be a misleading. This is a team that lacks any real consistent pass-rushing threat outside of Sen'Derrick Marks. Jerry Hughes is excellent at pressuring the quarterback, so if the Jaguars can sign him and draft another young pass-rusher, they could be a dangerous defense.
