The Houston Texans still have a chance to make the playoffs, but they will need some help to do so. Not worrying about which teams need to lose, the Texans need to take care of the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 17.

Considering Jacksonville is 3-12 in 2014, you have to like the Texans’ chances of coming away with the W. The Jaguars are coming off a win, but it came against the Tennessee Titans (2-13). These two teams met not too long ago (Week 14), and Houston came away with the victory.

This time around, the Texans will be playing like this game is for all the marbles — it basically is. Not only will Houston be the heavy favorite in this Week 17 battle, it enters with a good amount of momentum. The Texans took care of the Baltimore Ravens in Week 16. In the process, they only allowed 13 points and intercepted Joe Flacco three times.

Although making the playoffs is one thing, winning a game in the playoffs will be a completely different story. After all, this team isn’t necessarily set at the quarterback position. Houston will be playing in front of its fans, and it certainly still has plenty to play for. Upsets tend to happen, but don’t expect one in this contest.
