The season started off a little rocky for the Buffalo Bills this year, with new ownership, a head coach with a lack of job security and big quarterback issues. As we enter the final week of the season, the Buffalo rumor mill is still churning. Officially eliminated from playoff contention, the Bills finish their year today with more than a few question marks. Of all the rumors, here are the five most popular.

1. Kyle Orton Will Be One and Done in Buffalo

This one shouldn't be too surprising. Orton was brought in merely as a stopgap for Buffalo. He led the team on a spirited run, one in which playoffs seemed possible. However, he regressed as the season went on. It wouldn't make sense for the Bills to keep him around, as he's way past his prime. Look for Buffalo to thank him for all he's done, then send him on his way.

Just because Orton is likely gone doesn't mean the quarterback job is Manuel's to lose. In fact, some thought Maneul would start today now that Buffalo is eliminated from postseason contention. However, Orton got the nod. Manuel may still stick around next year, but it's tough to believe the Bills see him as their franchise guy. Expect Buffalo to address the quarterback area this offseason.

Spiller has never really panned out in Buffalo, despite more than a few flashes of potential. He has a player option next year, but word is the Bills haven't had any talks with him regarding future plans. On top of his lack of production, Spiller can't seem to stay healthy. There's a very good chance Buffalo decides to cut ties with the running back and take a different route at the position next year.

With new owner Terry Pegula finishing up his first season with the team, rumors are flying regarding potential changes he might make in the offseason. One of the popular beliefs is bringing Polian back to Buffalo. After serving with the team until 1993, Polian may return in a yet-to-be-determined role next year. What it would mean for coach Doug Marrone is a mystery. Speaking of which...

Marrone was caught screaming at front office members way back in training camp, so he didn't exactly start the year on the right foot. Bringing Buffalo its first non-losing season in a while certainly helps, but having a new owner makes things shaky. Pegula may want to bring in his own crew. Marrone could make a case for himself by winning today, but his future with the team is hardly a certainty right now.
