The Oakland Raiders got their quarterback of the future and their defensive stud of the future in last year's draft. In that draft, the Raiders also brought in solid playmakers in T.J. Carrie and Keith McGill. That being said, the Raiders will look for further improvement in this year's draft. Here is a way too early seven-round mock draft for the Silver and Black.

There were flashes in 2014 that Derek Carr would become a stud, and I fully believe he could do just that next season. The problem is that there wasn't a ton of talent around Carr. That being said, the Raiders would be smart to add a dynamic playmaker like Amari Cooper. It is risky taking a wide receiver in the top five, but Cooper has drawn comparisons to Julio Jones and A.J. Green. Adding a weapon like that would give Carr a real threat.

Not only did the Raiders lack a solid receiving group in 2014, but they were short on production from the running backs group as well. To give Carr a weapon out of the backfield and a reliable running game, Oakland should bring in a player like Todd Gurley. Obviously, drafting a running back coming off a knee injury is extremely risky, but he has first-round talent and the tools to be an explosive running back in the NFL.

Round 3: Christian Covington, DT

In Oakland's 4-3 defensive scheme, bringing in a quick-twitch defensive tackle like Christian Covington. As of now, Covington does not have the national attention simply because he played his collegiate football at Rice, but he is a presence in the middle of the trenches. He will have a chance to boost his stock at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Round 4: Durell Eskridge, S

Sadly, Charles Woodson keeps on aging, and although he's still playing like he's in his prime, the fact of the matter is that Oakland will need to find his long-term replacement sooner rather than later. Insert Durell Eskridge, a guy who despite playing at Syracuse, was one of the best defensive players in all of the ACC. Eskridge has great ball skills and he could be a presence in this Oakland defensive backfield for years to come.

Round 5: Conor Hanratty, OG

Oakland must get younger and better on the offensive line, and Conor Hanratty of Notre Dame, a school that historically produces quality talent in the NFL, is a guy who could make an impact for the Raiders. Hanratty provides good depth, and he would be able to step in day one and play with this line. The offensive guard is smart, and he is able to get around the edge to get to the second level of the defense.

Round 6: Jamison Crowder, WR

Why not add another dynamic weapon for Carr? Jamison Crowder is a guy who continues to make plays despite being completely undersized. Crowder has the ability to become an offensive weapon at the next level. He has soft hands, great route-running skills and is dangerous with the football after the catch. Adding Cooper and Crowder would give Carr two very good weapons.

Trenton Brown is one of the biggest players in this year's draft. At 6-foot-8, 350 pounds, Brown has unbelievable size, but his inability to move quickly will be his biggest knock when he gets into the league. If the Raiders can work on Brown's footwork, he could be a great right tackle for years to come. With both Donald Penn and Khalif Barnes getting up there in age, Brown is a nice depth player.
