Not gonna lie, in the midst of a 12-4 season, which no one saw coming, and on the verge of a Wild Card game versus the Detroit Lions, it’s hard to think about the Dallas Cowboys’ 2015 NFL Season; but, bare with me, as we take a look at five veterans, who might not be back with the team next year.

A couple of years ago, Doug Free was struggling. Fast-forward to 2014, and Free is one of the most consistent offensive linemen, not only on the Cowboys’ roster, but also in the NFL. Unfortunately, injuries cost him playing time, which gave way to Jermey Parnell. In Free’s absence, Parnell has been a more effective pass blocker and a very comparable run blocker. Going forward, I think the Cowboys see Parnell starting at right tackle.

As with Doug Free, injuries might have cost Justin Durant his spot on the team. In Durant’s absence, rookie linebacker Anthony Hitchens was thrust into the starting lineup, and, surprising to many, he has been solid. Solid enough, in my opinion, that the Cowboys might let Durant walk, which sucks, cause he’s one of my favorite people to chat with on Twitter.

Dwayne Harris, WR, Dallas Cowboys

Is it me or did Dwayne Harris lose his explosiveness? I mean, this season he just hasn’t impacted the return game much, in fact, I think I can only recall one return where he made me say, there’s the old Harris. Now, that’s not to say that he hasn’t been a crucial part of the Cowboy's special teams unit, the guy covers kicks like no other. Unfortunately, I don’t think that’s enough to make the Cowboys keep him around.

It’s crazy to think that the Cowboys might let go of the league’s rushing champion and possible MVP candidate, but I think they will. It’s pretty simple; he’s a free agent in 2015, and someone’s going to throw a bunch of money at him.

The writing is on the wall for Brandon Carr. He’ll be a Post-June 1 cut unless he takes a major pay cut. I don’t have to go into details about how disappointing his play in Dallas has been, for you to understand why Carr won’t be back in 2015.
