High-priced free agent signings have been en vogue for the St. Louis Rams under the regime of head coach Jeff Fisher and general manager Les Snead. Unfortunately not all of those guys to put their names on the dotted line have panned out, and as a result, several could be looking for new homes after being given their walking papers this offseason. Here are five players like to fall into that category.

5. Jo-Lonn Dunbar

Big money isn’t the issue with Jo-Lonn Dunbar, but seriously declining production certainly is a concern. Since his breakout 2012 season in St. Louis that resulted in a four-game suspension to begin 2013 for using performance-enhancing drugs, Dunbar has been a different player. His 115 tackles from 2012 are a distant memory with just 39 in 12 games from 2013 and only 36 in all 16 games this past season. It’s time to wave goodbye.

4. Scott Wells

Injuries and age have to be the two biggest concerns with Scott Wells at center, but the lack of depth behind him could cause the Rams to keep him around for one more season. The Rams could save $ 3.75 million by showing him the door, but turning to Tim Barnes on a full-time basis is a tricky proposition at the offensive line’s most critical position. This potential move could ultimately come down to crunching the numbers.

3. Kendall Langford

Dollar signs will ultimately dictate why Kendall Langford is no longer a part of this football team in 2015. After signing a lucrative free agent deal three years ago, Langford has seen the Rams develop a solid starter in Michael Brockers and land a stud rookie in Aaron Donald. With just $ 2 million in dead money by saying goodbye this offseason and a savings of $ 5 million, the math just adds up to Langford being shown the door.

2. Jake Long

Another lineman with injury worries, Jake Long is likely to be playing somewhere else in 2015. His big deal with the Rams from two offseasons ago looks awfully foolish after he has suffered two torn ACLs during his time with the team. With a potential savings of $ 9.25 million and only $ 2.5 million in dead money, the numbers game doesn’t favor Long returning. Add on Greg Robinson in place as his heir apparent and the writing is on the wall.

Does anyone else think Sam Bradford should be arrested for grand larceny? I mean, if the Rams aren’t going to press charges, please allow me to on their behalf. Jeff Fisher is in denial about the entire situation, saying he wants Bradford to return after taking a paycut this offseason, but it really doesn’t make sense. Even when he’s healthy, which isn’t often, the Rams could do a lot better than an 18-30-1 career record with 59 TDs and 38 INTs.
