In one of the most impressive free agent pools in recent memory, the Indianapolis Colts will have over $ 39 million to spend once the new league year rolls around in March. There are plenty of places the team can go, but one thing's for certain: The running back situation needs to be solved this offseason for the Colts to continue competing. Here are five free agents for Indy to target.

Current Indianapolis safeties Mike Adams and LaRon Landry can both easily be replaced. Like Adams this past offseason, Moore may go from Denver to Indianapolis and start in the Colts’ secondary.

Freeman has been starting as the inside middle linebacker in Chuck Pagano’s 3-4 defensive scheme for the past three seasons. He’s shown great production each season, but an injury bug hit him this season and limited him to just 12 starts. The Colts can’t afford to lose him.

3. Mark Ingram

Trent Richardson is a bust, Ahmad Bradshaw is nothing more than a role player when healthy and Dan Herron can split carries if Ingram comes to town. Based off of past seasons, Ingram shouldn’t demand too high of a price tag, but he had a relatively good season so he’ll warrant around $ 3 million a year.

2. Mike Iupati

Between both the left and right guards, the Colts have started seven total men throughout the season. Iupati has been a very good and consistent player throughout his career in San Francisco, and he could help make the Colts’ offense a top 10 overall unit.

As I stated before, both safeties in Indianapolis can be replaced. With a secondary consisting of McCourty, Moore and Vontae Davis, the Colts could focus more on their run defense. McCourty is a top safety in the league who will ask for big bucks in a relatively weak group of free agents at that position.
