Now that the season is over, it is time for the Dallas Cowboys to prepare for the 2015 season; and it all starts today by preparing for the draft, looking into the contracts on this team and keeping tabs on free agents to see which players could help this team. Without further ado, here are five changes the Cowboys need to make for the 2015 season.

The Cowboys do not want to see Jason Witten retire, but the reality is that he will retire in a few years and his successor will be Gavin Escobar. Despite being a second-round pick in 2013, Escobar has yet to really make an impact for the Cowboys. In 2015, the Cowboys should use more of Escobar simply because he is versatile and a tough matchup.

In almost every game this season, it took some time for the Cowboys to really get Dez involved. Sometimes, Tony Romo ignores Bryant simply because of the fact that he's double-covered. While that is smart to some extent, sometimes you need to feed a beast like Dez. Whether it's moving him to the slot or even putting him in the backfield, the Cowboys need to get creative to get No. 88 involved early in football games.

In Dallas' 4-3 Tampa-2 defense, they tend to deploy a lot of zone coverage. When you're getting good pressure, zone defense is effective, but the Cowboys did not get good pressure and playing zone coverage got them burned in 2014. Next season, the Cowboys need to use more press coverage. By pressing at the line of scrimmage, the Cowboys will cater to their players' strengths.

2. Become More Aggressive On Defense

Although they can sometimes get burned because of it, the Cowboys need to send the blitz more in 2015. I look at a guy like Bruce Carter who could've made a bigger impact this season if he had blitzed more. Carter has great strength and speed, and he is more than capable of sacking the quarterback. To generate more pressure, the Cowboys need to blitz more next season.

1. Use More Play-Action

Dallas was one of the best running teams in 2014, and they will most likely be one of the best running teams in 2015 as well whether DeMarco Murray comes back or not. The Cowboys' offensive line is incredible and it showed in 2014. That being said, because of their vaunted running game, defenses had to load the box. That's when the Cowboys should use the deep ball more. Using more play-action would make this offense even better next season.
