After an instant classic against the Ravens, the Patriots will now focus all their mind power on the Indianapolis Colts and the path to the Super Bowl. While some of fans are taking Andrew Luck and Co. lightly, they did beat the Broncos and could come to Foxborough and beat the Patriots. Here are five reasons why the Patriots could lose the AFC Championship game.

It seems the Colts have finally accepted the fact that the Trent Richardson trade was a horrible idea, and have fully committed themselves to the Daniel Herron train. He's averaged 127 yards from scrimmage and a TD in the playoffs thus far, and is quickly becoming a key part to this Colts’ offense. With the struggles the Patriots had last week against Justin Forsett, you can bet the Colts will try to do the same with Herron.

It’s hard enough to beat Andrew Luck when you’re able to get pressure on him; it’s next to impossible when he has all day in the pocket. The Patriots’ pass rush has not been living up to the hype so far this postseason as they were unable to sack Joe Flacco, leading to a big game from the QB. If the Patriots can’t get after Luck, expect him to have similar success.

Here’s how the Patriots have beaten the Colts the last two times they’ve played: running, running, running and then a touch more running. However, this isn’t the same sad rush defense that the Patriots have seen in the past. So far in the playoffs, Colts’ defense has allowed an average of 99 yards on the ground and only gave up 80 yards to C.J. Anderson last week. If the Patriots don’t have a rushing attack, this game could go south quickly.

One of the scariest thing about this Colts team is its lack of fear. The Colts just went into Denver and forced Peyton Manning to beat them with his arm; a risky move, but it paid off. Luck and his team fear no one and no situation, so coming into Foxborough to take on the Patriots won’t make this team scared, which tends to be one of the Patriots’ biggest weapons at home.

Obviously. If Andrew Luck plays at the level only Luck knows how to play at, then the Patriots are as good as dead. Luck is the rarest combination of mobile and super-smart, do-it-all-with-a-rocket-for-an-arm quarterback, and can singlehandedly win games for the Colts. He’s been doing it all season. If Luck gets going early and can’t be stopped, he’ll be making his first Super Bowl.
