The highly anticipated NFC Championship Game between the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks will be loaded with talent at numerous positions. Both teams have several players elected to the Pro Bowl, while some of the best players in the NFL will be on the field for the title game. Here’s a ranking of the top 10 players in the 2015 NFC Championship.

10. Randall Cobb

Randall Cobb set career highs in targets (126), receptions (91), receiving yards (1,287), touchdowns (12) and yards from scrimmage (1,324). Along with Jordy Nelson, he also set a new standard among WR duos, especially in the Packers franchise. Cobb has the ability to take over games. His versatility allows him to do so many things, which disrupts anything a defense is trying to accomplish. Rodgers will look to him often in the NFC title game.

Safety Earl Thomas is about as dangerous as they come at the position. He followed up his stellar 2013 season with another solid one in 2014. Even though is interception numbers were down, he’s still a major threat in the secondary. Despite Aaron Rodgers hardly every throwing a pick, there’s no question he will always have to keep an eye on Thomas, who has the ability to change games with his performance.

8. Eddie Lacy

DeMarco Murray and Marshawn Lynch get most of the credit as the superior running backs, but Eddie Lacy is right up there with them. After winning Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2013, Lacy followed it up with another stellar season. Despite not rushing for as many yards and touchdowns, his yards per carry (4.6) were actually a career high. Lacy must play a huge role in the NFC title game if the Packers want to win.

7. K.J. Wright

In his fourth season in the NFL, linebacker K.J. Wright posted career numbers. His 107 tackles, two sacks and three forced fumbles means Green Bay better keep an eye on him, especially in the running game. Despite having some of the best numbers on the Seahawks in 2014, he wasn’t one of the five Pro Bowl selections. That alone may force him to compete at an ultra-high level during the NFC Championship Game.

6. Russell Wilson

Russell Wilson isn’t quite in the category of elite quarterbacks, but he’s definitely well on his way. In fact, a win against the Packers and a second consecutive Super Bowl victory will make him one of the best in the game. He’s gone from having the ‘game manager’ label to being a dual-threat quarterback who can destroy defenses. A lot will be riding on Wilson’s shoulders on Sunday, which is just fine with him.

5. Clay Matthews

One of the most dangerous pass rushers in the game is none other than Clay Matthews. His role changed a bit in 2014, but that didn’t prevent him from continuing to dominate the linebacker position. In 2014, he recorded a career-high 61 tackles, 11 sacks, one interception, two forced fumbles and nine passes defended. More importantly, he continues to strike fear in blockers and give offensive coordinators headaches.

4. Jordy Nelson

It’s unbelievable it took Jordy Nelson this long to reach his first Pro Bowl. Nonetheless, he’s deserving of the honor. Nelson is by far the most underrated receiver in the NFL. Even this season, opponents didn’t believe his speed and hands were as good as they are which is why he constantly burned defensive backs. Nelson is Aaron Rodgers’ top weapon. It’s no wonder he had a career year the same season Rodgers will win MVP.

3. Richard Sherman

The best shutdown cornerback in the NFL was a non-factor when these two teams met in Week 1. That was only because the Packers didn’t throw the ball is way one time. Sherman has that kind of impact on quarterbacks. No one wants to pass his way, and when they do, he typically picks it off or knocks it down. Sherman will be a factor on Sunday because Green Bay can’t afford to ignore whoever he’s covering, especially if it’s Nelson.

2. Marshawn Lynch

Murray was the top running back in 2014, but Lynch is still arguably the most dangerous. His ability to go Beast Mode at any moment terrifies opposing defenses. Rushing for 1,306 yards and a career-high 13 touchdowns could be just the start of what he’s ready to accomplish in the NFC Championship and possibly beyond. All eyes will be on him on Sunday, as the Packers must slow him down if they want any shot at winning.

1. Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers is the best player in the game today, which means he automatically is the No. 1 ranked player in the NFC Championship Game. The most likely 2014 NFL MVP strikes fear in the hearts of his opponents every time he takes the field, even with a calf that is less than 100 percent. He has the ability to do produce jaw-dropping numbers and perform plays that are unheard of. If the Packers win on Sunday, it will be on the arm of Rodgers.
