The Green Bay Packers are definitely good enough to reach the Super Bowl and win their 14th league championship. In order do to that, though, the Packers must get past the Seattle Seahawks, which won’t be easy considering the NFC Championship Game will be played at CenturyLink Field. Here are five keys to victory for Green Bay in the 2015 NFC Championship Game.

It’s not rocket science to know the only way the Packers have a shot at defeating the Seahawks is to get Eddie Lacy going. Pounding the run game early will be necessary. Many believe Green Bay won’t have success on the ground against Seattle because Lacy was only able to muster a season-low 34 yards in Week 1. The reality is Lacy has rushed for over 100 yards in the last two games against two top-10 run defenses. Success is definitely possible.

One of the reasons the Cowboys were able to beat the Seahawks at CenturyLink Field in Week 6 was because they were able to confuse Russell Wilson. If Green Bay wants to win, they must get inside Wilson’s head. A good way to do that is give him different looks, such as lining up Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers at difference parts along the defensive line. Another is to record sacks and quarterback hits to intimidate him.

3. Prevent Marshawn Lynch From Going Beast Mode

Since arriving in Seattle in 2010, Marshawn Lynch has gone Beast Mode at least once in all eight playoff games. He’s easily the most difficult player to tackle in the league, which means Green Bay will have their hands full. It’s imperative the Packers contain Lynch as much as possible, which means preventing him go Beast Mode. The Cowboys did this by limiting him to just 61 yards rushing. If the Packers work as a single unit, they can stop him.

One of the big reasons Green Bay was unsuccessful in slowing down Seattle in Week 1 was because their severe lack of tackling. The Packers missed 18 tackles in that game, which is something that can’t happen on Sunday if they want to win. The good news is Green Bay has improved tremendously in that department as the season has gone on. In fact, they only missed four tackles against the Cowboys in the NFC divisional round.

With or without an injured calf, Green Bay’s top priority has to be protecting Aaron Rodgers. He’s the Packers’ No. 1 threat and the Seahawks know it. They will do whatever they can to get him on the ground as frequently as possible. Thankfully, Green Bay’s offensive line has been stellar, which means Rodgers should stay upright enough to make big plays. Also, Seattle has struggled at times to get after the quarterback in 2014.
