The Washington Redskins have a poor history with free agents under Dan Snyder. That needs to change if they are going to have a better year than 2014. The big news surrounding Washington will be what happens with Robert Griffin III, but picking up key free agents will be important. Here are five players they should look to sign this offseason.

Washington needs to bolster their offensive line in the offseason. Joe Reitz won't turn any heads, but he is a solid player. His consistency is something that most of their current linemen don't have. Reitz is also a versatile enough to play multiple spots on the line.

Washington had one of the worst pass defenses in the league in 2014. They gave up a league-worst 8.2 YPA, and one reason for that was their poor safety play. Sergio Brown would be an upgrade and would help secure the back end of their defense.

Sam Acho would be a low-risk signing for Washington. His numbers were slightly down in 2014 after missing almost all of 2013 due to injury. That will make him a bargain this offseason, as Acho can be used in coverage as well as a pass rusher.

The Packers probably won't be able to hold on to Tramon Williams this offseason. Washington would happily add a veteran cornerback like him. They have to add some proven talent to the secondary or else it will be another long season in the nation's capital.

Ndamukong Suh is going to be the prize free agent of 2015. He is capable of turning around any defense with his dominant physical presence, as Suh is great against the run as well as rushing the passer. He is everything that Washington needs and would give them a chance to be a good defense next season.
