Super Bowl Media Day is one of the strangest media events around. The quirkiest reporters ask the most outrageous questions, and the best part is the players for the most part have to answer them. People are put in awkward situations, which make for a great watch. With anything possible, here are five bold predictions for NFL Super Bowl XLIX Media Day.

Bill Belichick rarely smiles. In fact, I think I have only seen it happen twice. It usually takes making fun of himself or one of his players for a smirk to appear. For instance, while being interviewed by Jim Nantz after the AFC Championship Game, Belichick laughed while saying, "We’re on to Seattle." Even if no one believes it to be so, someone will say something that will put Belichick in a position where his only option is to crack a smile.

Seattle’s rallying cry for last year’s Super Bowl was 'Why not us,' which was taken from a message Russell Wilson’s father used to say to him all the time. At some point, someone is going to ask Wilson if the rallying cry is the same or if it has changed because it’s an entirely new game. The assumption has to be the Seahawks, being the ones who are defending their championship, have adopted a new message.

Considering it happened once before, I suppose it wouldn’t be a big shocker to see it happen again. Mexican television reporter Inés Gómez wore a revealing wedding dress and proposed to Tom Brady during Media Day for Super Bowl XLII. Gómez is still in the TV industry, but there’s no word on if she’ll be attending Media Day. Still, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a reporter drop down on one knee for Brady once again all in good fun.

The Packers essentially gave the Seahawks the NFC Championship on a silver platter. They did everything they possibly could to lose the game. Seattle made the necessary plays to win it at the very end, but Green Bay shot themselves in the foot repeatedly. There’s no doubt a member of the media will be bold enough to ask at least one Seahawks player if the team deserves to be in the big game on Feb. 1.

The boldest prediction of them all: Marshawn Lynch will actually forgo his typical shy, rude, lame routine and talk to the media on Media Day as he’s supposed to do. It will probably have to do more of him avoiding a six-digit fine, but still, Lynch will engage with members of the media. And, for his tedious behavior during interview sessions throughout the season, he will be forced to answer ridiculous questions without the help of a teammate.
