The way the Seattle Seahawks lost to the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl will be remembered for years, perhaps even decades. With Seattle blowing the chance to win two straight Super Bowls, these five Seahawks could very well lose their jobs.

I'm aware that Jermaine Kearse caught the game-winning catch in the NFC Championship Game. I'm also aware that he made that miraculous catch to put Seattle in position to score. However, Kearse is really no more than a No. 4 receiver. He drops a lot of passes and doesn't separate from opposing cornerbacks.

Michael Bennett, Kevin Williams and Bruce Irvin did all they could to slow down Tom Brady and New England's offense. Despite that, when Cliff Avril left the game with a concussion, O'Brien Schofield came in and he showed why he isn't worthy of starting in the NFL.

Oddly enough, instead of handing the ball off to one of the best running backs in football in Marshawn Lynch, the Seahawks decided to dial up a play that was intended for Ricardo Lockette, who is a career special teams player. Lockette is not a good receiver, and the Seahawks have guys like Paul Richardson and Kevin Norwood ready to break out next year.

In just 75 snaps this postseason, Tharold Simon gave up 205 yards, four touchdowns and zero interceptions. In comparison, the rest of Seattle's cornerbacks, in 273 snaps, gave up 238 yards, zero touchdowns and four interceptions. Simon was beaten throughout the day by Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola, and he showed absolutely no reason why he should be the No. 3 cornerback next year.

It really was the most questionable play-call in the history of football. Instead of handing off the ball to one of the best running backs in the league in Marshawn Lynch on second down with 26 seconds left, Seattle decided to throw the ball. Yes, the Patriots had their goal-line personnel on the field, but there is no excuse for Bevell's stupidity on that last drive. In my opinion, Bevell should not have even been allowed on the flight home.
