For the second year in a row, the Oakland Raiders head into the offseason with plenty of money to spend. However, will the Raiders actually spend their money wisely in 2015? Until they do exactly that, they’ll be stuck reminiscing on when they used to be relevant.

If the Raiders hope to make a huge impact via free agency, they’d be wise to target a few of these big-name pending free agents.

RB DeMarco Murray

If the Cowboys do decide to let Murray walk, the Raiders would be very wise to blow up his phone the second the new league year starts. Although there’s reason to be concerned about his health moving forward, the Raiders absolutely need a star running back to take the pressure off of Derek Carr and the passing game. Murray would do that and so much more, while having Latavius Murray to spell him.

TE Julius Thomas

Not only are the Raiders desperate for help at tight end, but Thomas has shown serious interest in going to Oakland. Thomas grew up a Raiders fan, and could certainly sign a hefty contract with Oakland. If the Broncos opt to hold on to Demaryius Thomas while letting their tight end go, you better believe he’ll be listening intently to the Raiders’ pitch.

If Suh hits the open market, half of the NFL will be calling to set up visits. While the Raiders are far from the most ideal landing spot for the bullying defensive tackle, Mark Davis wouldn’t dare miss the opportunity to state his case. The Raiders have a lot of money to throw at Suh, which makes Oakland a possible – albeit, unlikely – landing spot.

For years now, the Raiders have suffered from subpar offensive line play. However, adding an All-Pro caliber guard like Iupati would certainly bring it all together in Oakland. He’s a road grader in the run game, and still offers plenty of quality protection as a pass blocker. If the Raiders brought back Stefen Wisniewski and landed Iupati as well, their offensive line would suddenly be worthy of recognition.

There’s a good chance the Packers give Cobb an opportunity to test the open market this offseason, especially after signing Jordy Nelson to a huge extension in 2014. While it would be hard to lure the speedy receiver away from Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay, you have to believe the Raiders could get the job done with enough dollar signs. We all know Carr could use a legitimate playmaker out wide.
