Wide receiver Julian Edelman had a monster game for the New England Patriots’ in the team’s 28-24 Super Bowl XLIX victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. As expected, the man who caught the game-winning touchdown pass has been seen partying it up seemingly nonstop since helping lead his team to a win in the biggest game of his life.
Along with tight end and experienced party-animal Rob Gronkowski, Edelman was the star of the Patriots’ Super Bowl parade through Boston on Wednesday. The highlight of Edelman’s day had to be when he got a little revenge on loud-mouthed Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman. As seen below, Edelman held and then tossed a sign mocking Sherman holding up the number four with the caption, “How many rings does Brady have?”
Prior to Edelman’s victory parade shenanigans, it looks as if the Patriots’ top receiver went out to a club and did not return home alone. In a picture posted to Tinder (Warning: Explicit Language), a woman is seen sitting in bed beside a passed out and topless Edelman, with a caption claiming she slept with him.
Rightfully so, the woman has been under fire ever since posting the picture to the match making media app. Whether what she claims is true or not, it’s a clear invasion of Edelman’s privacy and a move made in an attempt to get five minutes of fame.
In an interview with TMZ, the woman claims, “(Edelman) passed out and I was bored I guess. I was drunk…and I made a mistake and I feel terrible about it.” Some angry Boston nightclubs have reportedly put a ban on her from entering, but I’m guessing she’ll find her way back in before too long.
