The Minnesota Vikings are in an awkward situation. The team has a shot to compete next season, which makes the "best player available" vs. "position of need" debate even trickier. The Vikings' needs don't match up well with the strongest positions in the 2015 NFL Draft. Here are five players Minnesota fans should keep an eye on when the No. 11 overall pick comes around.

Parker was one of Teddy Bridgewater's favorite targets for three years at Louisville. The Vikings QB should have some decent inside information about him. Wide receiver isn't the most pressing need for Minnesota, but it definitely isn't a huge strength either. A top-tier wideout could give the team a nice boost.

Many consider White to be the second best wide receiver prospect in a draft filled with great ones. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound wideout makes a quarterback's job much easier. His leaping ability and ball skills provide nice insurance for bad throws. White also adds a nice combination of strength and speed to the position.

If the Vikings go offensive line, the team may be able to fill a big position of need without reaching too far. The 6-foot-5, 308-pound prospect will bring a big boost to Minnesota's rushing attack, and he's no slouch in pass protection either. The problem with offensive line prospects is that several teams that pick before the Vikings need them too. If Collins is there at No. 11, Minnesota should pull the trigger.

2. CB Marcus Peters - Washington Huskies

The Vikings need a cornerback, but No. 11 seems a little too high for the players available. Minnesota could trade down a few spots and probably land one of the drafts' best at the position. Peters is arguably the most talented corner, but he brings character issues. Before being dismissed from the Huskies for multiple conflicts with his coaches, Peters showed enormous talent and playmaking ability for two and a half years.

Waynes has plenty of talent, but doesn't bring as much baggage as Peters. The Vikings may be able to land him even after trading down a few spots. At 6-foot-1, 183 pounds, Waynes has good length, but needs to add a little muscle to match up with NFL receivers. His speed and ball skills are major strengths that could help the Vikings win now.
