The Chicago Bears were led by Jay Cutler to a 5-11 record and a last place finish in the NFC North division in 2014. They obviously saw flaws in their operation, as they fired Marc Trestman and hired former Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers head coach John Fox. They look to make an immediate impact this season by making the playoffs. These five teams would be likely opponents if they do make it to the postseason.

The San Francisco 49ers are another team that did not live up to expectations in 2014. They are looking to bounce back with a new coach and questionable QB, something the Bears are also doing. They could meet in an interesting matchup in the first round. This could be a huge game for Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery, since the 49ers are weak at cornerback.

The Seattle Seahawks are the defending NFC champions, and they will have a chip on their shoulder this next postseason. This is a matchup that the Bears need to avoid at all costs.

The Bears have two teams in their division that could conceivably make the playoffs with them, the first of which is the Detroit Lions. This obviously is tied to the Lions signing their free agents this offseason. If that vaunted defensive line cannot come back intact, they may not make the playoffs at all. Cutler would sure love it if Ndamukong Suh went to another division.

The Green Bay Packers and the Bears have one of the oldest rivalries in sports. These two could renew the rivalry in the playoffs next season. It would be a good matchup if the two teams are able to make some serious upgrades over the offseason.

The New Orleans Saints were also in the same boat of disappointing NFL teams from 2014. They could face the Bears in the playoffs, which would be a matchup of bounce-back teams. There would be plenty of offense, but not a lot of defense. It would still be fun to watch.
