The Philadelphia Eagles selection of Riley Cooper as the player image for the month of February in the official team calendar seems like no big deal, until of course, you remember February is Black History Month.

In case you’ve already forgotten or have been living under a rock, the Eagles’ wide receiver made headlines back in 2013 after being recorded on camera at a Kenny Chesney concert saying, “I will jump that fence and fight ever n***** here.”

After remembering that fact, one that Cooper is best known for, the Eagles’ calendar choice becomes a little more questionable, doesn’t it? Eagles PR rep Brett Strohsacker told TMZ sports – “If anything it was an honest mistake. It never crossed our minds. I will look into this issue and see what the thought process was.”

If you ask me, it seems like there was no thought process.
