Everyone knows the top players the Eagles should target in the draft. But the draft isn't all about just Day One picks -- there are a bunch of late-round players who could contribute to the team in 2015. Here's a look at five of them.

Even though Tye Smith comes from a small school, his competition hasn’t been easy, as he’s played against elite prospect Kevin White and star Odell Beckham Jr. Earning a combine invite, he surprised scouts by checking in at 190 pounds. The buzz has started to leak about him, but he has upside to be a late-round pick at a position the Eagles critically need.

Lynden Trail has the size Chip Kelly covets at 6-foot-6, 260 pounds. He’s a great athlete for his size, but Trail is very raw. He needs to work on his technique and ability to shed blocks, but he looks the part and could be a late-round gem if he works out the wrinkles in his game.

Xavier Williams has great length for a defensive tackle, and as he stands now, can line up in a number of spots on the line. He could also add more weight and go towards being a true nose tackle. He has a tendency to put his head down and not diagnose what’s around him, but that can be taught.

2. CB Cam Thomas, Western Kentucky

A long and rangy cornerback, Cam Thomas has the frame to be an effective press-corner and excel in run support if he bulks up. Thomas is a bit of a gambler though, which might remind Eagle fans of Asante Samuel, and he does need work on his technique. But again, the Eagles need corner help and Thomas could develop into a good reserve.

Austin Hill is my favorite sleeper in this draft. His stock is down because he spent the past season coming back from an ACL surgery, but before his injury, he was a beast. Provided his knee checks out, Hill is going to surprise the NFL team that drafts him, and I’m hoping it’s the Eagles, because he could wreak havoc in the slot.
