Chip Kelly went ahead and really dismantled the Philadelphia Eagles' roster with several notable players being traded or outright released. With these moves, the Eagles now have a ton of cap space to work with and a number of positions that need to be solidified. So with that in mind, here are the top five free agents the Eagles are looking at.

If the Eagles are as set on trading up for Marcus Mariota as it seems, Nick Foles will be gone and the Eagles will need a veteran quarterback on the roster. Jake Locker makes the most sense out of the available quarterbacks, and a change of scenery in Chip Kelly’s offense might be just what the doctor ordered for Locker’s NFL future.

LeSean McCoy is gone and Chris Polk is a restricted free agent. It's likely the Eagles will look to use a mid-round draft pick on a rusher, but signing C.J. Spiller would make sense --he has a ton of underrated talent. Judging from his comments on the NFL Network, he would be open to the idea of Philadelphia. I think the Eagles would do the deal with a friendly contract and I’m sure Spiller would take it.

3. OLB Jason Worilds

The Eagles and Jason Worilds were seriously interested in each other last year until Pittsburgh gave him the transition tag. With Trent Cole gone and Brandon Graham expected to test the market, I think the Eagles are going to move quickly on Worilds and lock him up as soon as possible. Worilds would be the final piece of what looks to be an impressive starting linebacker corp.

2. CB Byron Maxwell

Byron Maxwell fits everything Kelly and the Eagles look for in defenders. No Cary Williams and no Bradley Fletcher means there’s a definite need for a cornerback, and with the gigantic amount of cap space the Eagles have available, Maxwell’s price shouldn’t be an issue. I think the Eagles move quickly on Maxwell as well -- I can’t imagine they want him to linger around free agency longer than needed.

Say hello to your splash signing, Philadelphia. Devin McCourty would thrive here in Davis’ defense and be a tremendous upgrade to Nate Allen -- he’s versatile with excellent coverage skills. Pairing McCourty next to Malcolm Jenkins fixes the deep part of the secondary and gives Davis tremendous flexibility with his coverages and blitz schemes. It seems like a lot of free agent signings, right? Well, $ 50 million in space has to go somewhere.
