Predicting 5 Players the Washington Redskins Will Sign In NFL Free Agency

Washington Redskins

The Washington Redskins have many issues. Obviously, Robert Griffin III will be starting when next season begins, but the real question is if he can finish things out during the 2015 campaign. The QB will need a lot of help for the team to make the playoffs, and these five free agents could offer that support.

Lance Kendricks would fit in with Washington's other tight ends seamlessly. He was never fully consistent with the St. Louis Rams, and the Redskins could give him an opportunity to change his career arc.

The entire secondary is an issue for the Redskins, and Walter Thurmond III could supply tackles on the edge with his strong hands and nimble feet. The New York Giants would be wise to keep him, but maybe Washington will throw the CB a bigger contract.

It seemed fitting to put another St. Louis Ram on this list considering the trade history between these two teams. Free agency is a different matter, but the Redskins could try to punish the Rams by signing OT Joe Barksdale.

Kenrick Ellis is an amazing run defender. He gave the New York Jets an element of real force in the trenches, and Ellis could bring that same skill to the Redskins with his tenacity, ferociousness and swagger. Will they be willing to pony up the dough for his services?

Signing Rodney Hudson would allow Kory Lichtensteiger to move back to his natural position on the offensive line and give Washington great versatility up front. Protecting Griffin should be their first priority, and I would not blame management for adding another piece to protect the QB.

Eddie Lacy Could Barely Handle 30-Yard Run

Eddie Lacy is a short yardage specialist, and when he breaks these long runs he definitely will come out of the game every time. This huge run setup the Packers' go-ahead touchdown and they would never look back. Lacy would get his later in the game.
