A San Francisco 49ers fan is a different breed of what is considered a “normal” NFL fan. Fans of the 49ers, also known as “Faithfuls”, tend to be die-hard fanatics who have no love or patience for any of the other 31 NFL teams.

Here are 10 ways to make a San Francisco 49ers fan mad.

One thing 49ers fans despise are those who jump ship. Through good times and bad, fans pride themselves on staying true to their team.

When quarreling with friends on who has the better team, the first thing out of a 49ers fan's mouth is the five Super Bowls argument. However, it's been over 20 years since San Francisco won a SB. So be forewarned talking about our five SB wins or you get this as a retort, “ Were you even born when they last won a Super Bowl?” What can a Niner fan say to that?

In a move that was heavily criticized within the 49er Faithful, Joe Montana was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs in 1993. Being a four-time Super Bowl winner, Montana was moved to make way for the young up and comer quarterback, Steve Young. In the end, Young took San Francisco to its fifth SB and the Montana trade has since lost its sting.

Playing at Seattle's CenturyLink Field instills a sense of dread for most teams. However for the 49ers, this stadium has been an insurmountable hurdle for the last three years. CenturyLink's architecture allows the greatest hometown advantage due to the sheer volume of noise bouncing off its conical walls when opposing offense's are on the field.

6. The “Bad O'l Days”

49ers fans are not called “Faithfuls” for nothing. Between 2003 and 2010, nearly a decade of losing seasons would put a strain on any fan. If you come out of the 2000's and still bleed red and gold? You have the right to be called a 49ers Faithful.

The 49ers “quest for six” ended five yards shy in Super Bowl XLVII. After a series of controversial no-calls, many within the San Francisco community felt that they were robbed of their sixth Lombardi. Whatever the case may be, Super Bowl XLVII will forever be a sore subject for any 49er fan.

If you are 25 years or older, then you remember a time when the Dallas Cowboys were the 49ers' mortal enemy. Blocking San Francisco from two NFC Championship wins, the rivalry with Dallas intensified in the early 90's. The Cowboys got the last laugh however, winning three SB's to only one SF's.

When 49ers CEO Jeb York mutually parted with head coach Jim Harbaugh, 49ers fans made their anger known throughout twitter. Some choice words were definitely said, lets keep it at that. While we do not exactly know for sure what happened in causing such a parting, many of the Faithful are going to feel this sting for a long time.

Not only is Seattle Seahawks defensive back, Richard Sherman, has been a thorn in Colin Kaepernick's side, but also a thorn in many of the 49ers fans side's as well. Watching Sherman deflect San Francisco's chances of reaching Super Bowl XLVIII and his ensuing trash talk, has left many within the 49ers community a little bitter.
