Indianapolis Colts Get A Much-Needed RB Weapon In Frank Gore

Frank Gore

The Indianapolis Colts have landed the services of RB Frank Gore, or that is at least what is supposed to happen as of right now.

Gore, of course, was supposed to go to the Philadelphia Eagles at first. But hey, this is NFL free agency, where literally anything can happen.

The Colts were one of the best teams in the NFL last season when it came to passing. However, the running game clearly needed some work (ranked No. 22 in rushing yards per game). The signing of Gore will clearly help out in that department.

Gore may not be getting any younger and his best days are likely in the past, but he is still coming off a very productive season. You know, one in which he rushed for 1,106 yards. It would be amazing if he could rush for that many yards for Indy in the upcoming season, but who knows if the team plans on utilizing him that much.

Plus, Indy is still going to be a passing team. It does have Andrew Luck.

This is a great situation for Gore. The San Francisco 49ers seem to be doing everything in their power to get worse, and Indy is one of the better teams in the NFL. Plus, Gore will get to play alongside Luck and will also have the chance at competing for a Super Bowl next season.

Needless to say, this is a win-win for both sides.
