Coming off a 2-14 season, the Tennessee Titans could use all the help they can get. Hopefully the addition of safety Da’Norris Searcy will work out immediately:
The expected numbers for Da’Norris Searcy, who appears headed to the #Titans: 4 years, $24M with $10.5M guaranteed. Still finalizing.

The Titans had a void to fill, and they certainly filled it. Searcy played for the Buffalo Bills last season, amassing 65 tackles and three interceptions as the Bills’ starting strong safety. Although the Bills didn’t even make the playoffs, Searcy was a valuable piece on the defensive side of the ball.
For what it’s worth, Buffalo only gave up 18.1 points per game last season. Tennessee gave up 27.4 points per game. Clearly, the Titans need a lot of work on the defensive side of the ball.
Searcy may not be the biggest name on the market, but he is certainly a great player who can provide immediate help to a poor Titans defense. Overpaid or not, this team needs help on the defensive side of the ball in the worst possible way.
Now, the Titans need to make about 100 other moves and then they will be okay. Although exaggerated quite a bit, Tennessee needs to make a big splash during free agency and in the upcoming draft if they have any plans to be relevant in 2015.
