5 Perfect 2015 NFL Free Agency Moves For Carolina Panthers

Free agency in the NFL is in full swing with a number of big name players moving to unexpected locations. The Carolina Panthers made a small splash signing former players like Ted Ginn Jr, Michael Oher, Colin Cole and Dwan Edwards. They also released veteran running back DeAngelo Williams. There are still some holes for them to fill, and these five available free agents could be perfect fits.

He played for the Panthers over the past four seasons but has not re-signed with them yet. Carolina just picked up an offensive tackle in Michael Oher, but re-signing the still young Bell who is already familiar with the system would provide depth and experience to a young front. He wouldn't cost much, so I think it's a no-brainer to bring him back.

There will be a little void left after the departure of DeAngelo Williams, and I think Rodgers could fill that role nicely. He's a veteran running back who can run in spurts, receive and block well. With Jonathan Stewart assuming the role as the full-time running back, Rodgers could be a perfect fit to complement the rotation.

Williams is a fairly big receiver who can catch touchdown passes, and it's a known fact that Cam Newton loves players like that. He had an injury-riddled season last year and was released by the Buffalo Bills. I think his stock has dropped, so I could see him having a cheap asking price to complement Kelvin Benjamin and Greg Olsen as the third target for Newton.

Aside from the scandal surrounding Greg Hardy this past season, he is literally the perfect piece to the Panthers. Hardy knows the system and plays it extremely well, leading the team in sacks two years ago. Also, he expressed taking a pay cut to stay with the team. I'm not sure if he will be signed because of the turmoil he caused the team, but I don't know if there is a more perfect free agent for Carolina's front seven.

Hakeem Nicks is from Charlotte, he went to the University of North Carolina and the Panthers need a second receiver. He is literally the perfect fit for Carolina. Nicks is a possession receiver who can jump which is exactly what Cam Newton needs. Plus, he almost joined the team last offseason. I think it's time for Nicks to come home.

Von Miller Expertly Trolls Cam Newton On 'Saturday Night Live'

Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller has been a certified savage since winning Super Bowl MVP last Sunday. On 'Saturday Night Live', Miller expertly trolled Cam Newton during his short skit. Considering how much celebrating Newton did all season, he's going to continue to be on the wrong end of jokes all offseason, and deservedly so.

The condition of the turf at Levi's Stadium during Super Bowl 50 is a popular topic, and for one play Carolina Panthers' left tackle Michael Oher looked like he was on an ice rink as he protected Cam Newton's blind side.
