The Denver Broncos lost a lot of big names to free agency this year, but they've also signed some good talent. Here are their grades for the five biggest free agency signings thus far.

Darian Stewart and T.J. Ward will be a strong team at safety in 2015. And on top of that, the Broncos are going to get Stewart for a reasonable price. He finished the 2014 season ranked fourth on the Ravens with 53 tackles. He could be a nice addition to this Denver defense.

4. Shelley Smith

Smith was drafted by the Kubiak-led Texans back in 2010 and will join him again in 2015 at Mile High. The Broncos needed to solidify the left guard spot this offseason, and by signing Smith, they did just that.

3. Vance Walker

Walker, who's been in the league for seven years, has displayed his versatility, lining up at any position up front in a 3-4 defense. The Broncos were in need of a 5-technique defensive end this offseason, so this is a solid move for them.

Grade: B

2. Virgil Green

Re-signing Green was a huge deal for the Broncos, especially after losing Julius Thomas to the Raiders this offseason. He's certainly won over John Elway. "He's been a reliable, solid contributor since the day he was drafted. We're very excited Virgil is returning to the Broncos", Elway stated. This could be a breakout year for Green.

Grade: A

1. Owen Daniels

Daniels is a veteran tight end who has proven that he still has plenty of skill at age 32. He seems to be following Gary Kubiak everywhere he goes -- Houston, Baltimore and now Denver. He and Virgil Green could be quite the dynamic duo at the tight end position this year.
