Was it a catch or wasn't it a catch? This is an inquiry that's no longer worth the worry as the 2015 regular season nears the horizon. The Dallas Cowboys need to look through the windshield, and not the rear-view mirror if Big D is to once again drive into the playoffs. Here’s a breakdown of the NFL teams Dallas must put into focus.

13. New York Giants

The New York Giants are like a blind squirrel with bottomless talent. The G-men will miss and fall short often, but when they hit, the aftermath is thunderous. 2015 could be another one of those “hit” years, and the Cowboys can’t take this NFC East rival lightly.

12. New England Patriots

The Cowboys' schedule shakes out to a competitive tune. Steal a game from Tom Brady while subduing the force of nature that is Rob Gronkowski, and the Cowboys will be well on the way to repeat playoff appearances.

11. Atlanta Falcons

The Cowboys entertain the Falcons at home this season, and may have to entertain Matt Ryan going off for 400-plus yards. Ryan threw for 4,694 yards in 2014, and could have a huge game against the Cowboys’ work-in-progress secondary.

10. New Orleans Saints

Drew Brees is a constant threat to give any team a game any Sunday. This game will be played in the Superdome, and although a short road trip, expect the Saints to remain formidable.

9. Carolina Panthers

Although 2015 isn’t a leap year, it could be the year where Cam Newton takes the leap into the top-5 NFL quarterback conversation. Playing brilliantly against the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks in the playoffs could be the springboard to better things this upcoming season.

8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Cowboys continue the NFC South tour with a stop in Tampa and possibly a match with Jameis Winston. Vegas will likely dub this a “trap game,” and for good reason, as if this game gets sandwiched between contenders, the Bucs could contend for a Sunday afternoon upset.

7. Washington Redskins

Although the Cowboys need to move on from 2014, Dallas should still remember the loss in Arlington to the Redskins. Recalling a game that made half of America think Colt McCoy was a “gunslinger,” the ‘Boys need to avenge this forfeiture and ensure a sweep of this disheveled organization in 2015.

6. Buffalo Bills

Rex Ryan will run LeSean McCoy until the newly-acquired back spends every minute of off-time in a hypobaric chamber. The Cowboys have Buffalo on the road in 2015, and if this game is late in the season, it could get gritty.

5. New York Jets

Dallas gets to play a New York team three times on the 2015 ticket. The Jets have reunited with Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie, and could have an upward trending quarterback situation in time for the Cowboys.

4. Green Bay Packers

I expect the Packers to land anywhere between 10-6 and 12-4. In other words, the Packers will be good again and possibly even more consistent than in 2014. Re-signing Brian Bulaga all but guarantees that a great offensive line remains intact, and all but guarantees a great battle with Dallas in Lambeau.

3. Miami Dolphins

The “South Beach Suhs” will be a tough team to gauge in 2015. Will the Dolphins be more than just Ndamukong Suh on defense? Will Ryan Tannehill take it to the next level? The Cowboys will be traveling to Miami for this cross-conference battle and being the second game in Florida, Dallas will have to be able to stand up to the heat.

2. Seattle Seahawks

The ‘Boys get the defending NFC champs at home and thank goodness! Seattle is 25-7 over the last two regular seasons, but five of those losses were on the road. All the more reason this is a must-win opportunity for Dallas. If the Cowboys could beat the Seahawks in Seattle last season, this year’s homestand should be no problem.

1. Philadelphia Eagles

Both of these games will be bitter. The hatred will be palpable. It will be exciting to see DeMarco Murray in Eagles' wings, vying for NFC East supremacy. Possibly the most tense rivalry in sports, 2015 will be incredibly interesting when the Cowboys and Eagles collide.
